Wilderness Academy Days 2019

Almost 50 Wilderness Advocates, Researchers, Protected Area Managers and Wilderness Experts from Lithuania, Turkey, USA, Ukraine, Italy, Austria, Germany and many other countries enjoyed the first day of high level inspiring presentations focusing on the Spiritual Values of Wilderness, the challenges posed by the steady increase in tourism and the adverse effects of climate change.

We had a great 3-day conference with many international speakers and Wilderness Advocates from all around the world. There were many inspiring presentations, for example on the topic of climate change impact and tourism development. Furthermore, all participants explored one of the characteristic peat bogs in the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve Lungau, with all their senses!
