Event Details

The world’s first International Wilderness Week hosted online over 5 days with 15 hours each of existing presentations, scientific discussions and workshops, live excursions, reports from community events, Q&As, join-in-activities and much more. Help us make this a success.

We want the International Wilderness Week to be a festival for Wilderness advocates from all over the week. That is why we need you! You want to present your work on Wilderness? Or have a Wilderness story to tell? An idea how we can bring Wilderness into the virtual world?

Write en email to info@wilderness-society.org and share your idea with us. Take the chance to be part of this festival for Wilderness!

Each day of the International Wilderness Week is divided into three blocks, covering Asia & Oceania, Europe & Africa and the Americas. The three blocks will each be from 10:00 to 16:00 with an hour break in the middle. Hence, the blocks will happen at the following times:

Vienna, CEST, UTC +2:

  • Oceania & Asia: 1:00 – 7:00 (break 3:00 – 4:00)
  • Europe & Africa: 10:00 – 16:00 (break 12:00 – 13:00)
  • America: 16:00 – 22:00 (break 18:00 – 19:00)

Sydney, AEDT, UTC +11:

  • Oceania & Asia: 10:00 – 16:00 (break 12:00 – 13:00)
  • Europe & Africa: 19:00 – 1:00 (break 21:00 – 22:00)
  • America: 1:00 – 7:00 (break 3:00 – 4:00)

New York, ET, UTC -6:

  • Oceania & Asia: 19:00 – 1:00 (break 21:00 – 22:00)
  • Europe & Africa: 4:00 – 10:00 (break 6:00 – 7:00)
  • America: 10:00 – 16:00 (break 12:00 – 13:00)
